Trainees from Kenya at the Alte Rebschule feel-good hotel
Social sustainability has been a high priority at our hotel for years. More than 50 people from over a dozen nations work in the team and are committed to the well-being of our guests every day. A multicultural teamin which social interaction and a friendly working atmosphere are part of the philosophy. As Managing Director of the Wohlfühlhotel, Sonja Schäfer and her parents Hannelore and Stephan Hafen are committed to social sustainability.
Stephan Hafen manages numerous social projects in East Africa and is in close contact with the local people. As founder of the Hermann Marx Kenya Aid he collects donations on a voluntary basis and is directly involved in the construction of educational facilities in East Africa. The education and professional future of young Kenyans is particularly close to his heart. Every year, young people from East Africa find their way to the Palatinate and begin their training at the Wohlfühlhotel Alte Rebbe. training at the Wohlfühlhotel Alte Rebschule begin their training. Whether as a cook, hotel specialist or specialist in the hospitality industry (m/f/d), the training opportunities are varied and offer young people the chance of a good professional future.
Stephan Hafen recently visited East Africa again and recruited one or two trainees for next year at a hotel management school. Next year, young Kenyans will once again begin their training in the Palatinate and enrich the multicultural team at the Wohlfühlhotel Alte Rebschule.
