The Old Vine School receives the Chefs Trophy 2025!

We are delighted that the Alte Rebschule was honored with the "Chefs Trophy Training" award in Fulda in mid-November! 🌟 This award recognizes companies that are passionate about training young chefs.

Of the nine nominated hotels, four received awards: our wellness hotel Alte Rebschule, Schloss Elmau, Orania.Berlin, and the Land & Golf Hotel Stromberg.

"This praise is due above all to our head chef Jochen Döringer and sous chef Marina Nagel," emphasizes hostess Sonja Schäfer. In our kitchen, we focus on classic craftsmanship with high-quality, mostly regional ingredients—there's no room for convenience here!

Our team is also enriched by young people from Kenya who came to us through the social commitment of our senior boss, Stephan Hafen. Their zest for life is a real asset!

This award shows that excellent training creates a bright future—for talented individuals, for the restaurant industry, and for the culinary quality of our region. We are proud to continue on this path!

We have been to the "Alte Rebschule" several times and it has always been TOP. Starting with breakfast, through the snack to the 4-course menu in the evening, which is always excellent. Here you can find peace and quiet from the stress of everyday life.

The Hotel Alte Rebschule near Rhodt unter Rietburg is beautifully situated in the vineyards and offers a lovely view over the Rhine plain. The room was very nice, especially large and nicely furnished. The staff were friendly and attentive.

The feel-good hotel Alte Rebschule is located on the edge of the forest with a magnificent view over the vineyards. A place to completely switch off. We had a wonderfully light-flooded seminar room. The food, the service and the rooms were excellent. We had a great yoga weekend here.

Excellent hotel with a wonderful view in an absolutely quiet location. Very good cuisine, very nice wellness and pool area. You have to go there again.
